Hartley Nature Center is an independent, nonprofit organization governed by a board of directors and is dedicated to environmental education, focusing on school-aged youth from the surrounding region. Hartley Nature Center has a 7,500-square-foot state-of-the-art "green" building on Woodland Avenue on the north side of Hartley Park. The building is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. It is also open Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. January through March. In addition to providing bathrooms, shelter, and interesting exhibits for visitors, we also dispense general park information and offer programs for adults and families.
