Spend the Summer on Lime Island
Does spending the summer on an Upper Peninsula island sound like your idea of fun? Then contact the folks at Michigan’s Lime Island State Recreation Area, who are looking for volunteer campground hosts to greet visitors, set up activities and perform light maintenance on the island.
Hosts must commit to living on Lime Island for at least four consecutive weeks and “provide 30 hours of service per week (including weekends and holidays),” according to the DNR announcement. Additionally, “hosts for Lime Island must use their own boat to travel to and from the island,” located southeast of Sault Ste. Marie, near St. Joseph and Drummond islands.
