The Annual Michigan Tech Friends of the Van Pelt Library Book Sale is in the Memorial Union Building Ballroom right off U.S. 41 on the Michigan Tech campus in Houghton. This year patrons don't need to feed the parking meters; parking is free with a coupon available at the sale. Books are $2 for hardcovers, $1 for softcover and 50 cents for children's books and paperbacks. The usual Bag Sale ($5 for a bag of books) starts at 3 p.m. Members of the Friends of the Van Pelt Library will be able to shop at the pre-sale on Thursday, March 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. All proceeds benefit Michigan Tech's Van Pelt and Opie Library.
