Unique to Earth: A Special Exhibition to Honor Dr. Roberta Bondar

January 23 to 30 have been named Dr. Roberta Bondar Days in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. And the Art Gallery of Algoma invites you to enjoy this special exhibition, created through the efforts of the Roberta Bondar Foundation, the Sault Ste. Marie Museum, the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library and the AGA. This exhibition offers a small representation of Dr. Bondar’s adventures and widespread influence.

A selection of her stunning photography is on display, focusing on the Canadian landscape and offering audiences a glimpse of their beauty and perfection. Within this selection, the Gallery is proud to feature a generous donation by the Dr. Roberta Bondar Foundation to the AGA’s permanent collection in memory of Linda Burtch: a photograph entitled Common Horsechestnut. Additionally, artifacts and documents selected from the archives at the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library represent important moments throughout Dr. Bondar’s career.
