to
College of St. Scholastica 1200 Kenwood Ave., Duluth, Minnesota 55811
In a period when a woman's one possible career is matrimony, Mrs. Bennett is determined to get her daughters, Jane, Elizabeth and Lydia, married. Jane and Lydia are quite content with their beaus, but not Elizabeth. She refuses to marry Mr. Collins, whom she openly deplores, and Mr. Darcy, whom she secretly adores. The play is the story of the duel between Elizabeth and her pride and Darcy and his prejudice. Adapted by Helen Jerome, based on the novel by Jane Austen and directed by Merry Renn Vaughan. The CSS Theatre is on the campus of the College of St. Scholastica and the building is directly behind Tower Hall. Performances are April 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m., and April 22 and 29 at 2 p.m. Adults are $10 and seniors and students $8, but CSS students are $5. www.css.edu/mitchell.xml.
