The Carlton County Historical Society welcomes television anchor Michelle Lee to present a program on historic Nemadji Pottery on Saturday, December 6, at 1 p.m. at its museum at 406 Cloquet Avenue in Cloquet, Minnesota.
Michelle Lee, with Channel 6 in Duluth, is also the author of a book about Nemadji Pottery, a unique style of pottery which was made locally in Carlton County and now known throughout the world.
This program complements the museum's exhibit called "65 Treasures," celebrating the 65th birthday of the Carlton County Historical Society with 65 significant items that make up the history of Carlton County. One of the 65 items is a Nemadji Pottery vase made in Kettle River, Minnesota.
After the program, refreshments will be served and autographed copies of Michelle Lee's book will be available for purchase. Admission to the museum is $2 for adults, $1 for children under 12 and free for children under 5 and CCHS members. The museum is handicapped accessible. For more information call the CCHS at 218-879-1938.
