Gichigami Express Sled Dog Race

The Gichigami Express Sled Dog Race celebrates mushing and sled dog transportation in northeastern Minnesota. The stage-style sled dog race runs through three communities: Grand Portage, the Gunflint Trail, and Grand Marais. Teams will run 60 fast miles each day for the three-day event. Each morning, teams will be counted down in the exciting starting gate. Each afternoon, teams will dash to the finish line. Teams will be competing for a total $25,000 purse.
