University of Minnesota Duluth Montague Hall 1211 Ordean Court , Duluth, Minnesota 55812-3012
University of Minnesota Duluth's Center for Ethics and Public Policy is sponsoring a public lecture on the costs of cancer treatments (ethical and otherwise). The event will be at UMD’s Montague Hall (room 203). Dr. Jonathan Sande, director of St. Mary's Medical Center Ethics Program, will discuss a patient who received "state of the art" care for metastatic colon cancer. He will highlight the costs associated with such care and introduce, for further discussion, ethical and public policy issues he believes to be at the center of current controversies in U.S. health care. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, go to https://sites.google.com/a/d.umn.edu/cepp.
