Community Day at Glensheen, The Historic Congdon Estate

Glensheen, The Historic Congdon Estate, will offer free standard house tours Friday, May 24, in celebration of the 34th anniversary of opening to the public. The complimentary community day begins at 9:30 a.m. and the last tour starts at 4 p.m. Tickets can be picked up in the ticket house, located at the base of Glensheen’s parking lot, beginning at 9 a.m. The standard house tours will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis and we recommend arriving early to secure your ticket. In addition to the tours, Glensheen’s Community Day also features kite-flying demonstrations, kites for sale in the museum shop, book signings by Secrets of the Congdon Mansion author Joe Kimball, and an events open house in the winter garden, showcasing Glensheen’s caterers, Savories and Black Woods.
