Christmas City Express on the North Shore Scenic Railroad takes families by train from Fitger’s to The Depot to view model trains, the Lake Superior Railroad Museum, to hear the story Christmas City Express and to visit with Santa. Weekends. 800-423-1273.

Departures at 4:15, 5:00, 5:45, 6:30 and 7:15* p.m. (*except Sundays). Sundays at 3:45 p.m. as well. Full experience is about 90 minutes. $18.00 for Adults, $16 for children 3 years and up (2 and under are free and do not need a reservation).
