Gooseberry Falls Candlelight Ski, Snowshoe & Hike

Gooseberry Falls State Park will offer a Candlelight Ski, Snowshoe, & Walk that is free, but a Minnesota Ski Pass is required for skiers age 16 and older (a $6 daily Ski Pass can be purchased at the park). If there's a lack of snow, the park encourages people to come and hike. This will be canceled for extreme cold weather. Call the park for more about the event or trail conditions. Depending on snow conditions, trails for classic cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and the accessible paved hiking trail to the upper falls will be dramatically lit by candles. Outdoor warming fires will be available, as well as the indoor fire in the park's heated visitor center.
