"Politics and Leadership in Duluth" is a free public lecture by Gary Doty, hosted by the University of Minnesota Duluth at UMD's Griggs Center. Join Gary for anecdotes and insight into the leadership styles of Jeno Paulucci, John Fedo, the Klapmeiers and other “giants” of Duluth. In 1974, Gary Doty was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives (District 8A). He served from 1975–1976. In November 1991, Doty was elected mayor of Duluth. He was re-elected totwo additional four-year terms. He retired from office in January 2004.
