Chamber Music Trio Osmo Vänskä, Thomas Turner & Susan Billmeyer

Although the Minnesota Orchestra’s concerts are currently shuttered due to a lockout, excitement is growing in Duluth as we prepare to welcome Osmo Vänskä—Minnesota Orchestra’s internationally known Music Director—to the Matinee Musicale Stage.  Instead of conducting, he’ll perform on his first love, the clarinet!  

Osmo Vänskä, who was born in Sääminki, Finland, began his career as a clarinetist. He’s bringing Minnesota Orchestra musicians Thomas Turner (viola) and Susan Billmeyer (piano) to perform a concert at the College of St. Scholastica’s Mitchell Auditorium, on Tuesday, March 5 at 7:30 pm.
